ang buhay ay pag-ibig

Season of Love - Shiny Toy Guns

what is love to you?

if you ask me, love is when you put somebody else's need above yours (but you don't let them take advantage of you).

i think back in the day there's a special course for it...and my parents majored it. graduated with bright rainbow colors and everything. and they had unicorns for diplomas. they are, undeniably, the most generous people i know.

love can assume many forms. same thing with expressing it. i'm not much of a verbal "i love you" person. but when i say it, i really mean it. i mean it like the relevance of the sun to the morning. i may not say it often enough but i'll let you know i do in my own witty awesome ways.

according to Ze Book (the Bible that is)...

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies.

this is my favorite..."Doesn't force itself on others". i can't force you to love me and you can't for me to love you. an unreciprocated love is a waste of time and energy.

just keep on loving...but be smart about it. no one knows what goodness it might bring you.

i love you.
